Help! Black bar on side of viewfinder (Miranda MS-1 Super)

Hi everyone,

 

I'm not sure if this is not the right page to post this question (sorry if it isn't). I just bought this camera and don't remember seeing this black bar (circled in blue) when I first got it. I checked the lens and there's nothing obstructing it, so I think it could be something in the camera body? Or is it something I did that made it this way?? Or is that supposed to be there. If anyone can offer any advice, I would really appreciate it!

You can see in the viewfinder view that it is supposed to be there.

The LEDs visible when the camera is turned on indicate over, correct and under exposure, starting at the top.
