thursday again. As usual, upt o 3 photos, 1000 pixels max.

Last sunday i went to record (audio) a concert of Chamaret Chantant,

Barok music from the low lands..

Normally i would say music from the 1700 is not my thing (not enough gitar :-) )

But this one was very good.

Halloween is not a Swedish tradition. Not at all. But it's popularity is on the rise. We've had a couple of groups of kids at our house dressed for "Trick or treat".

I've been steadfast in telling our kids that not everyone in Sweden recognizes this holiday which means that I do not allow them to go "Trick or treating". But I could not deny them the dress up. We also made a short horror film. All in good fun.

That sounds like a fun alternative. Here in the US it has been going on since I can remember and before. We had about 50 kids ringing the doorbell Halloween night. I went through two bags of candy bars. It has been about 10 years since my youngest went trick or treating. It was fun when they were little. There are also some people here that choose to do a Halloween costume party. :)

We have a similar tradition on Easter when the kids (only the kids) are to dress up as "easter-ladies and easter-gentlemen" The girls would have a broomstick and a teapot. The story is that the easter-ladies are actually witches travelling to "Blåkulla" on their broom to dance with the devil. It's a really horrifying tradition now when I think about it. :) Anyway, the kids hand out Easter-drawings and receive candy in return. The adult would have a big bonfire and fireworks at night to scare the witches away so they wouldn't stop at the farm and make the cow run dry. Hm, feels like I've written this before...
