Kodak Ektachrome 100 35 availablity

Recommended Posts

I have ordered the above from Silverprint in London but have just been advised that supplies are so limited that "We were informed by our supplier only yesterday that Kodak themselves have only partially shipped the promised stock quantities to some of their distributors, only about 50% of their commitment has been received by some, resulting in them being unable to fulfil all their orders. One of these “short shipped” distributors is our own supplier"

The above refers to the UK. Is it the same in other parts of the world?

I got 5 rolls. I have to think that Kodak was totally caught off guard by the demand. The same with their Super 8. That's sold out, too. I'm losing hope that I'll get any 16mm in time for my vacation.

Does any place still have some for sale? (no, I have all I need for now)

I just check that the nearest store says "out of stock" with a price of $11.95.

In 135-36, they have (in stock) Provia 100F for $13.95, Velvia 100 for $14.75

and Velvia 50 for $16.95.

Looks like Kodak is staying in competition on price. Maybe Fuji prices will

come down now?

B&H had short-dated Provia 100F for about $7 per roll not long ago. I have some, and the rolls I shot were fine. I'm waiting to get E100.

I agree that it seems as though demand was much higher than Kodak anticipated.

I pre-ordered 5 rolls from The Find Lab the day they posted on their website, and 5 more rolls form B&H a week or so before anyone started shipping. I've received both(shot and processed one, have one in a camera) but am not counting on any more being available until the spring.

Hmm... more likely they'll

discontinue more of their

film...

E100 is still available and selling on eBay Australia

From one of only two listings, 187 have sold so far, nine buyers bought one roll each, the rest bought anywhere between two and twenty rolls each

eBay Australia Item Purchase History

The listing says: "More than 10 available", so it's anyone's guess as to how many they still have for sale

I bought 3 rolls and received them yesterday plus a box of 10 4x5 fresh Portra 160 at a bargain price, not sure why the low price, but I wasn't about to argue

I get it Ben, thanks

"More than 71% sold", the listing says. Possible you thought it was 71 still available, but that's ok, I didn't even notice the 71% sold

So doing the calculation, the remainder could be determined for that listed batch at least

The "71" was arrived at by trial and error-go to the listing page and enter a quantity. If the number you enter is larger than the number available, you will get an error to enter a smaller number.

There use to be a quick trick where you could type "0" for the quantity, and would be told "Please enter a number between 1 and xx" where xx was the total number available, but that no longer appears to work.

EDIT:

The quantity available now appears to be 67
