Hardwired internal memory sounds a bit like reheating BIC's concept of not refillable plastic lighters and ball pens + disposable shavers? An ISO dial will be nice to have. The product images, listed VF magnification and frame lines provided smell like a not very capable RF that surely isn't meant to handle insanely fast glass. " 5.5µm pixel pitch" is found in which common cameras and means what pixel count in the end? (I'd be content with APS, hopefully "H" but "C" would do.) I am no big fan of RF purism; that trend that demands film camera vibes emulation by omitting rear screens. IMHO a smart device dependent camera should provide an option to shoot it via wireless LV, with focus peaking and zooming in for precision focusing. Pixii didn't tell yet what they might be trying to make the supported wider RF lenses "sing" on their sensor. Thin filters (at least)? Ed_Ingold Posted October 25, 2018 Share Posted October 25, 2018 A "global" shutter is an electronic shutter which acts on all cells in the sensor at once. CCDs operate in global fashion natively. CMOS sensors take as long a 1/15 second to "scan" the sensor a few rows at a time, much like a very slow focal plane shutter (e.g., Speed Graphic). This affects extraction of data as well as action of the electronic shutter. The Sony A9 is unique among MILCs, having a scan time of 1/150 second, blackout-free and with minimal rolling shutter effect. Sony is also close to releasing a truly global CMOS, FF sensor, so far limited to high-end video cameras. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
