Sanford
If you've ever wanted to try golf photography, this is a free professional tournament with great photographer access. Its the TaylorMade Invitational at Pebble Beach in case my attempt at a link fails. rossb
I went to the AT&T years ago and they did not allow photography. If you pulled out a camera they treated it similar to an assault rifle. So if you go make sure you check out the website about photography rules. Apparently the shutter sound upsets the golfers and they freak out. Karim Ghantous
If we used silent shutters, I wonder if they'd allow those. Anyway Sanford, thanks for the news. I am way too far away to make it but I'd like to try my hand at sports photography one day.
Glenn McCreery
With the advent of the smartphone, the PGA has given up on banning photography. Watch any golf tournament on TV and you will see dozens of people on every hole (usually) silently taking photos and video with their phones.
