I hope I can have scans by the end of the week-work permitting me to have the time to shoot, and the lab getting it processed the same day or the next day...

Looks like I'm lucky to be getting mine on Thursday. From what I see, B&H sold out of the first TWO shipments. And now they list it as a Top Seller, If it keeps up, might this induce Rochester to offer a few other emulsions, not just more sizes?

I'm excited to see Ben's results.

I am interested to see the results!

May I post the images on a dutch photography forum? I will link to your page, flickr or here. Lots of us are interested to see the results!

Sorry, but at least for me I do not allow reposting of my images.

I will post my results here, though, and you are certainly welcome to link to them.

Just got off the phone with The Find and they said their order from Kodak was not completed but partially delayed until around November 1st.

She said the “available” numbers on the site were for the initial preorder that wasn’t filled completely.

So it looks like initial demand is good.

Should have the B&H order today so that will get the Fall color treatment.

Sounds better than just good.

You must live closer to NY than me. Mine is tomorrow.

Wouldn't be ironic - In order to bring Ektachrome back, they have to scale down their production line. Now, could it be that the fellows in Rochester find demand so much greater that they anticipated, that they have to scale up their production! I hope so, but . . .

Still keeping my fingers crossed for 16mm

It’s here!

1st roll going in the F3 to give the 20mm a workout.

Second going in an ME Super.

Mostly all reserved for Fall color.

Looking forward to y’all posting results.

I’m in Mississippi Chuck but Fedex is right here in Memphis.

I have Fred send a plane to Trenton regularly for all my B&H stuff.

2 day hop from B&H.

I'd post "fall color" shots but there is no "fall color" here yet...

Headed down to the mountains in TN and NC in two weeks-maybe stuff will have started popping by then. With that said, I also have a box of 4x5 Velvia earmarked for that trip, and I haven't really had a chance to give the 75mm Nikkor-SW I bought back in the spring a good work-out yet.

Also, the last weekend of October, I'm going to TRY hit up one of my favorite photographic spots-the former Old Taylor distillery. It has just re-opened-I've never been on the grounds, and I'm hoping that I can finally do that, and do so with some fresh Ektachrome. I've only been photographing the site-from the road-for 15 years now...

Don't worry-I'm a Baptist and a life-long teetotaler :)

Dstilleries are fun places to photograph, though, and for a lot of photographers in this area Old Taylor has been off limits for so long that it's exciting to be able to get into the property.

The last time I was there, I did smell mash fermenting and get a whiff of the "Angels Share" from one of the warehouse. It's been 40 years or better since mash has been fermented in that valley, and also that long since anything has been aged on the Old Taylor site(neighboring Old Crow is still an active site used for aging, but not for fermenting or distilling).

Man ain't it the truth. In North Georgia, the trees are too confused by the blazing hot summer to change their leaves. They're just kind of falling off looking burnt. We finally have a little cooler weather (low 70s in the morning, maybe even 60s) but no cold snap to get the trees started. I don't understand the science behind it, but it's definitely not a good color year here. This was yesterday. Does this look like fall to you?

Well, I dropped the first roll off at the lab this morning, and it should be ready for pick-up this afternoon.

I owe a big thanks to Christine at Fulltone Photo(in Louisville) for bringing their E6 line up today and agreeing to "rush process" this roll for me. Hopefully I'll have some scans later tonight.

As far as fall color-I saw some red shoots in trees on my way to the lab, which is on the southeast end of town. My weekend is going to take me west on I64, not east, so I don't know if there will be anything to see. The MG needs a bath, but I might try to take care of that this evening and head east of town tomorrow evening for a combined Ektachrome shoot and nice drive in my MG :) .

I'm going to Cade's Cove late this month. I'm afraid it will be less than photogenic. Nice to know it might be better further north.

There's a decent chance I'll be there around the first of November...we'll see how things look.

Time is probably going to dictate me not spending the amount of time on the Blue Ridge Parkway that trip as I would like(if at all). Fortunately, Cade's Cove/GSMNP is a lot closer to me...

Even though I WILL shoot some Ektachrome, Velvia is going to win out in a lot of these situations. That's especially true since we don't have E100 in 120 and sheet film yet.

I still have Velvia (35mm) frozen (at least some rolls) though I'll probably mostly be going digital this trip. I'm a little tempted to bring a film camera too now. The thing I like about Cade's Cove is that loop road means you can operate out of the trunk of your car so carrying capacity isn't an issue. Now I just need somewhere to process the film in Atlanta/Marietta or by mail. I don't know who to go to these days for film processing.
