Beseler Topcon Super D with jammed advance/stuck mirror

Greetings everyone,

I was hoping someone could help me get a hold of a service manual for the Topcon Super D. I've been offered one at a fair price but it has a jammed advance and mirror stuck in the up position. I can't be there with the seller to test it out but I'm hoping that if I had the manual I could see if it's listed as a fixable problem.

If anyone has a service manual or any advice to share on this problem I'd be most appreciative.

You'll have to check the lists yourself, but Butkus does have Topcon manuals: BESELER Camera Manual

I wouldn't expect that they would be lot of help in repair.

I think the US Navy used Topcons for a while (for the Exakta mount) and there might be a service manual somehow in their files, etc.

I have the copy of the Super D (71A) service manual that used to be available free online. I'd upload it here, but it's not a JPEG, and the new (brain-dead) Photo.net won't let me upload a PDF file! Use the contact a member function and I'll e-mail it to you.

The timing of the gears and interlocks on the bottom of the camera is fidgety.
