Weekly Post Processing Challenge 6th October 2018

Another weekly challenge.

If, anyone else would like to post next week please give it a go, upload a High resolution jpeg. Just indicate your intentions by Thursday or early Friday.

 

 

Remember there are no rules you can do what you wish in your interpretation, please can you give information of the steps taken and software used to add interest.

 

It is not meant as a competition just a bit of fun.

 

Cropped, changed head, experimented with bleach bypass and cross processing in NIK ColorEfex in Photoshop CS5. Nice image to work with.

Sort of ran the gamut with this one: sketch, simplify, HDR, blended with original in PS, final adjustments in LR. Thanks for the photo!

Here's the pre-blended version that I thought I had deleted. I sort of like it too as I am fond of blue, sketchy stuff.

Gerald once again you have supplied a very interesting image. Thank you very much.

I pasted the image in to Gimp.

I strained the horizon using the benches as a reference. Don't know may be not a good move.

I then coped the image in the fisherman.

I then used the manual select tool and the colorize tool to add color to the close and skin.

I then made some luminosity to add contrast by adjusting color saturation and light over several layers.

This image just cracks me up! I like it.

LR...adjust shadows / highlights and convert to b/w. NIK...film noir filter. PS Elements....line drawing.

I joined the majority (although definitely not the majority of the US Senate) in removing the short stack of bricks in the bottom left corner. I did this in PSE15 by using the camera distortion filter, followed by using levels and also the dodging and burning tools to emphasize the highlights and midtowns. Then I used the sponge took for selectively adding saturation. Finally, I used NIK's output sharpener.

 

Somehow, I lost my narrative, presumably by clicking on "post reply" only in my head. Oh well, just a short summary. Converted to b&w in Silver Efex. Everything else in PSE15.
