Canon FD Photos of the Month: September 2018

I picked up a Canon FDn 28-55/3.5-4.5 at Lemon Camera in Tokyo. I'm sharing a couple of shots with you. The first is at Haneda Airport as we taxiing. X-E2 + Metabones Speed Booster + Canon FDn 28-55/3.5-4.5.

Same equipment as above. We're just in the air for a few minutes with Kansai as our destination.

I scanned my earliest 35mm negatives years ago. Recently, while reviewing the thousands of stored scans, I came across these ancient B&W images, made with the lowly Canon equipment I was using back in those prehistoric times. The Canon TLb was the least expensive body available at the time; I used it for a few years, "upgraded" when I had more money, and eventually gave the camera (it still functioned perfectly after several decades) to my nephew to use in his HS photography classes years ago. Looking at these scanned images I was surprised how well they compare to ones made years later, using much more expensive equipment. The old Canon FD cameras and lenses were/are excellent.

Canon A-1 50mm f/1.4

No, but you are within 100 miles.

BTW, 1st prize is a Yashica FX3, with 50mm 1.8, 28mm 2.8 and a Vivitar 70-210 close focusing. (If you want it)

OK, the light meter doesn't work but the shutter speeds seem abput right.

"abput" ?? "about" seems better. I might be an OK photographer, but typing - forget it.

And first prize includes a PL, UVa and Sky all in 52mm

The 28 IS a Yashica lens

One last thing, I'll ship free to USA only.

I've been to west shore of Lake Superior a few times so my knowledge of that area is limited. So, I have no idea where the cascade is.

We just came back from a week along the North Shore hiking parts of the Casque Trail from Rossport to Terrace Bay. Unbelievable scenery.
