carbon_dragon
Yes by all means cut the leader manually if you can’t find the guide. I would clip the corners of the left side of the picture above. It seems to help. Loading the screwmounts requires practice. Even the M2 loading (which is much easier) requires some practice. Note that some M’s had the quick load kit which was as easy as Ms got. Likewise, if you develop your film using a metal reel, THAT needs practice too in much the same quantity I think. I used to be good at doing this, but now not so much. But I have a massive amount of film in my freezers. :( Probably will die with me when I go. I wonder if that frozen Kodak IR still works or if the cosmic rays have got it. I do know my Kodak Technical Pan film still works and I even still have Technidol. I load that into my old Contax RTS III with it’s vacuum activated pressure plate for maximum (probably meaningless) extra sharpness. Results are pretty good. Might even be better than my iPhone. christopher_a._junker1
I hope you have a sharp, clearly visible rangefinder image. My BD IIIf is in great condition except for one thing; the rangefinder no longer works as the rangefinder silvering is gone. Is it now possible to restore the rangefinder so it again functions? christopher_a._junker1
I found the archived answer to the above IIIf mirror question. Yes, it can be done and will restore full rangefinder functionality. Time to finally get it done.
