Here are a few pics of cars from last weekend's vintage car and train meet. I lust after this little 1946 Ford Coupe... Nikon FE : 35-70mm Osawa MC f/3.5-4.5 : Ilford FP4 Plus : PMK Pyro

My parents' first car was a 46 Ford. I remember it from childhood.

Nice work, Brad, just love that jacket and the piano pic is a work of art. I've been playing with a newly-cleaned Tamron Adaptall II 24mm f/2.5 lens (Model 01B), a rather fine old lens, and I thought I'd share a taste of a Spring morning in central New Zealand. I might wander out in the balmy afternoon and take some photographs...The camera was a Sony ILCE-7R.

Moving On- glad you were able to find some images from your school years. I feel like images like these (and I have a ton of them) are the next best thing to a time machine.

I don't have a picture, but I don't think my 8th grade science teacher was as pretty as yours.

Looking forward to seeing more of your school photos.

Nice work, Rick. It has a "you are there" feel to it. Thanks.

When I posted that picture, I fell in love all over again LMAO.

One of my favorite teachers I’ve know for many years.

I have more I’m digging through.....

Oh for a working time machine. Good photo. One of the habits I developed in high school was to always have a camera with me. Before I got my first 35mm camera (a Konica Auto S2) I often borrowed my dad's Mamiya Sekor 1000 TL or his Konica C35. A few times I carried a Kodak Pocket Instamatic 40 for those candid shots. It's electronic shutter allowed indoor shots without flash if on a steady support. I would process the 110 Verichrome Pan in a tray by hand in total darkness since I didn't have a 110 reel. Fun days.

I think my high school physics and chemistry teacher was a big influence on me. I actually had a class with her in graduate school. I was working on my master's degree while she worked on her doctorate but we needed the same graduate chemistry class. Interesting having your former teacher as a classmate. She did better on identifying polyatomic ions and I did better with acid/base titrations.,

Yes, that teacher and I crossed paths several times long after high school and always had great conversation.

It was always a neat experience to meet her in a context other than the classroom. She was one of the most intelligent people I ever met. Shy and reserved but a great personality once you got to know her. She was a great, well read fan of General Patton. I used to do charcoal portraits and such in school and gave her a few she liked. She showed me one I’d done and given her of a Koala years later. She’d had it framed. A pleasant surprise all those years later.

I’m going to have to dig up more Picts from those days but work is pressing, pretty hot long days right now and sleep cycle is off.

Ole Miss and Mississippi State sent a steady supply north during those years for some reason

Yep, got Bachelor's degree at Mississippi State in 1979 and Masters in 1986. Met quite a few young ladies back in those days. May even have a photo or two. Somewhere among older threads I posted some photos from my college days.

I like the way those trees framed that road, Moving On.
