carbon_dragon
I found a very nice garden north of Atlanta who was advertising a large Japanese Garden. Since I love those, I took a trip to see it. It was pretty spectacular. Got there about 9 when they opened. Note that the last little bit to get there is a dirt road. I'm a long way from any kind of professional, or even a good amateur, but it was a nice walk. I look forward to going back when it's cooler in the fall and I hope to have some nice leaf changing there too. Camera was a Leica M9 with the older 50/2 summicron and the 35/2 ASPH Summicron (the latter of which took most of the shots). The black and white was converted by Aperture. I really think I'm going to have to rethink Aperture. I like it but now that Apple is no longer supporting it I suppose I will have to convert. Anyway, great place to visit if you are in the neighborhood.

carbon_dragon
I kind of expected a sort of “Georgia” style Japanese garden, but in fact even the non-Japanese gardens right outside the visitor center were kind of a Japanese style. It’s a cool place. Someday I want to go back and visit Golden Gate Park again but this is a lot closer by. I’ll keep the Missouri garden in mind if I ever get out there. I wonder how many nice spots there are within driving distance I don’t even know exist? Probably a lot. Interestingly enough the second shot above is their “Monet” bridge because it’s similar to one in a Monet painting.
