gerard_tripptree
How does one know if the SL66 focusing screen has been replaced properly? Is it supposed to "click" into position? How do you know if it is seated properly? Thanks.
manfred_nehab
Hi Gerard, I hopefully can help you. I own a sl66e which has the same design in this area: Provided your screen is mounted properly in the holder you must snap the four notches beneath it into the small holes on top of the camera. place the holder approx 1/2 cm towards the lens and move it in direction to the filmback by gently pressing your thumbs on top of the sides of the screen holder. the screen is positioned ok, when the spring type frame part (towards lens) exactly fits behind the edge of the body. (sorry I can't explain better because english is not my native language). Whatch out to place the right side of the screen to the top, it should be the blank side. regards Manfred
