donald_miller5
I am using epsom v550. I had good scans a few days ago but now with same negative I get poor quality and colored lines.and very dark scans. Also the raw scan was inverted color and that isn't the case now. I use Vuescan and I did not alter settings that I know of. Am I missing something or is scanner in need of maintainence or replacement or the vuescan need to be reinstalled? Bill Bowes
Hello Don. I can not help you with the scanner but have you heard from Kodak about the bleeds? Bill

kmac
The Scanner probably needs cleaning. If there are any mirror/s, and they have never been cleaned, it's time to clean them now. If you can get to the scanner's lens, clean that too. That cleaning should eliminate the banding and maybe even correct the color cast You could then try reinstalling Vuescan but get the latest version that suits the V550
AlanKlein
I did an auto level adjust in PS ELements and got this. I cropped out the stripes - don;t know what causes that. bethe_fisher
I have an older Epson, and I've gotten lines and other weird things if there's dust in the area the scanner uses for calibration or if the holder isn't quite lined up. Cleaning the glass and making sure the holder is lined up perfectly might help. Worth a try anyway.
JDMvW
Some kind of error in calibration is a good guess, but have you undone and re-connected the cables?
