Gerald Cafferty
Another weekly challenge. I take it no one else tempted to post. If, anyone else would like to post next week please give it a go, upload a High resolution jpeg. Remember there are no rules you can do what you wish in your interpretation, please can you give information of the steps taken and software used to add interest. It is not meant as a competition just a bit of fun.

michaellinder
I take it no one else tempted to post. GC, earlier in the week I thought I could post for this week. Then things got thoroughly hectic. Sorry to let you down.
michaellinder
Initially my intent was to stay with color, so in Photoshop Elements 15, I removed as much of the orange/salmon cast as possible. Then, I adjusted tonality using levels. Not being overly happy, I decided to convert to b&w (Silver Efex.). Thereafter I returned to levels in PSE15 for finer tonal adjustments.

mikehegarty01
Gerald thanks for the image this week. It is a nice one. It looks like an antique carousel try a split tone and see if it added to the feeling. Gimp. I adjusted the color levels then I used a gray scale mask to split tone the image.
Ken Ratcliffe
PSE 14, use several photo filters to adjust colour, adjust light, shadows and haze, slight crop, adjust contrast and apply slide film filter.
Glenn McCreery
Psychedelic Ride. Duplicate layer added and then foreground layer adjusted with "solarization" in ColorEfex and "colorful painting" in Topaz Simplify. Mask added to foreground layer and selectively painted black to reveal the background gondola. Cropped and flattened. Nice image to play with G.C.
tom_r
Crazy Tesla Carousel I took most of the submissions here (belatedly requesting permission:rolleyes:) and stacked them into an HDR in Photoshop, then used Topaz Glow 2 to create the effect. (Not sure how much effect the stacking had.) Edited July 30, 2018 by tom_r
tom_r
Another version. This one taken to SNS-HDR for ehancements and color adjustment, next to Akvis Sketch, then to Topaz Simplify.
michaellinder
OK, so here's an abstract version. I used a handy filter in Color Efex - brighten/darken center - to darken the center and highlight the border areas. Then to PSE15 for some tonal adjustments with levels; also used the paint daubs filter to add to the confusion.
Gerald Cafferty
All adjustments in LR. Cropped onto the people, adjusted verticals, played with WB , adjusted black and white points, sharpened and added vignette. Mike mentioned that it looks like an antique carousel, the photo was taken at a museum dedicated to all things fairground for the period between the two world wars. It is all indoors and is lit in a very colourful way.
tom_r
Fun photo to work with. Version 3: This time I used 3d Lut Creator and tried to respect the original lighting more than in my previous attempts.
