ben_hutcherson
I have been playing with an F with a motor drive for the past few days(I couldn't pass it up as it was very cheap and had a DE-1 that's shortly going on one of my F2s) . In any case, this is my first motor driven F, and I've noticed something that seems a bit unusual about the frame counter as compared to my experience with motors on later cameras. The counter on the motor itself works fine, although it doesn't advance when manually advancing the camera. On the other hand, though, when using the motor the camera on the body doesn't reliably advance-sometimes it will advance fine, but then I've also seen it randomly reset to zero. The body counter works perfectly when manually advancing. Is this normal behavior, or is it a matter of the motor not being correctly "adjusted" to the camera? I've read that these were supposed to be fitted by a technician, although of course I have no idea what's been done in the past 50 years...
