jdebever
Did another week pass?? afraid so. As usual up to 3 photos, 1000 pixels max. It's been too hot to photograph here. All week was 25 to 30C. Didn't photograph much. Just some flowers. Tommorow i have a concert that i'm alowed to take photos at. (hopefully more than 3 songs this time) It's going to be open-air, so i hope it stays dry like its been for the last 3 weeks. Even the weeds are dying in the garden. So in 4 weeks i'll have started my new job after 3 years of sick leave. Contracts just came in, start august 1st. looking forward to it, that sick benefit doesn't provide for all the lenses and cameras i want to buy... I just love it when nature proves you wrong. A few weeks ago i said i never saw fruit on my passionflower. Now i have some. the bees were out in force. so docile you could get close.

Marcus Ian
Murrell's Inlet, SC 5D3 - 24-70/2.8 - 42mm - f7.1 - 10s - ISO200 Shooting down the beach in windy conditions is a bit more challenging than shooting a 'regular' fireworks show. Longer exposures, unpredictable 'bloom' regions (as in some right on top of you), and FIRM footing in the sand are some challenges to take into account.

davecaz
Did another week pass?? afraid so. As usual up to 3 photos, 1000 pixels max. It's been too hot to photograph here. All week was 25 to 30C. Not sure where you live, but it's apparently cold there. When I lived in Boston, 20C was considered cool and comfortable for any activity. 30C was getting unpleasant, due to the humidity, but good beach weather. Here in Phoenix, it was 30C at 6am, yesterday. Then it got hot. Shot this on my Canon 6D, using a manual Olympus 600mm f/5.6, around 6:30am.

Trigger_Happy
removed How long do they stay like that? Looks terrible. It was with mixed emotions I pressed like, that's for sure.
JDMvW
Strangely enough the camels don't seem to mind at all. They very calmly let the leg be lifted and tied. The can actually hobble around on the three free legs pretty well. but obviously cannot run away.

You have to bear in mind that people who depend on camels often find themselves in places where there is absolutely nothing to tether a camel to. They need some way of keeping them from vanishing over the horizon. This achieves that. That's not the case here. They could tie the camel to a tree, here, but it's a cultural habit, and it probably never occurs to them to do it any other way.
