Michael, I went to the website of Rolling stone magazine in the morning to check it out, but couldn’t find it. It’s one website with no search feature, that makes it even more difficult. When I googled ‘Salgado rolling stone’, I got some very old stories from 1991 and 2007 (I suppose not the ones you are referring to). Do you happen to have a link to the online version of the images?

I wish I did, Supriyo. But I'll keep looking.

I haven't seen it yet and can't find anything about his Columbia photos on the web so I will go out and buy the magazine. He is my favorite photographer by far after seeing his Workers of the World show in Madison, Wi. about fifteen years ago. HIs body of work always amazes me. I think he could go to Mildred, Montana and create a world class book of photos. It would be a real treat for me to have Salgado to take a portrait of Sandy and have Rolling Stone put it on the cover of one of their upcoming issues.

Tim, after watching "The Salt of the Earth," I too have been fascinated by Salgado's work. His photos of mine workers are not only gritty and realistic; they also are infused with humanity.
