Film drying cabinet help

Recommended Posts

Just trying to get back to b&w film processing and I’m having trouble with my film drying cabinet.

The cabinet was bought over a decade ago and never got back into the darkroom to fire it up.

The problem is with the fuse, it doesn’t want to stay pressed in. The cabinet appears to work when I hold the fuse in, but the second I let go it pops out again.

I remember the person who sold it to warning me about the fuse, but I thought it just needed changing. I just swapped it for a new one when I found the problem.

Please find some pics attached.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks For the response.

I’m just wondering if it was tripping out wouldn’t the fuse be blown?

At the moment it stops and starts when the fuse is pushed in like there’s nothing to secure it in place. The fuse doesn’t stay in place when the cabinet is unplugged either.
