HELP! Wierd Distortion with 7D

Just yesterday I noticed when I moved my 7d side to side, the image would slant/distort diagonally. I have not noticed this before and have no idea what’s going on. I’ve tried this with all my lenses, its super prominent with the 70-200. I saw this same distortion during playback on my computer, so it seems as if something is wrong with my 7d. Anyone know what’s going on?

What do you mean, when you "move it side to side"? Do you mean panning (taking a shot while moving the camera to keep it pointed at a moving subject)? Could it be that you've never done this before with a slow enough shutter speed to make this streaking visible? If you pan with a subject, but use a shutter speed of 1/2000, for example, it will simply freeze the subject against the background as if neither you nor the subject moved. If you do the same thing with a speed of 1/30, the subject will (hopefully) be sharp, but the background will be streaked and blurred.

If you post an example shot, it will help.

Wait... Are you talking about video?

(???) If so, potentially, what you seem to be describing may be rolling shutter (depending on the speed of the movement of course) ? If so, while it is annoying, it's also how the unit reads out data from the sensor, so probably nothing 'wrong' with it...
