Dave Luttmann
What this tells me is that without motion picture...Kodak is dead.

mikheilrokva
So if Portra and Ektar are product of Alaris, then what are "true" Kodak still photography products? Cheap color film + Tmax and tri-X?
john_shriver
Alaris contracts with Kodak to make still picture film. The driving volume in Kodak's film business was motion picture film. But digital projection destroyed the market for most of that film, which was the cause of Kodak's implosion. The movie studios "buy" enough Eastman Color Negative film from Kodak to keep them in business, because some directors and directors of photography demand camera film. They are propping Kodak up.
