mjferron
On my recently acquired Toyo Field 45a and the only lens I could afford at the moment a Osaka 120 6.3. It took me a good 10 minutes on my first attempt to frame the scene and focus. I scanned the negative (Foma 200) on an Epson V700 and made a small test print. I am quite blown away at the difference in minute detail and the rich tonality even visible on a small print. The exposure was 1/60 and F22. No movements used. The computer screen can not do it justice. I am looking forward to gaining the knowledge to be comfortable with it.
AJG
Congratulations on your new camera--you're right, there's nothing quite like a good large format negative for sharpness and tonal range.
stuart_pratt
Nice shot, great tonality. 10 minutes sounds pretty quick to me, it takes me at least that (I'm a novice too).

akocurek
Nice photo, MJ. I keep on TOYing with the idea of bringing my Toyo out of retirement. Recently I've been scanning old negatives on a V700 also and am pleased with the detail, especially with film such as Kodak TMX. I've also found that negatives developed in pyro seen to scan real well.
