New Photographic Dry Plates now available

Recommended Posts

An article that Petapixel ran last month on the dry plates that I spontaneously stumbled into selling at the beginning of the year.

Dry Glass Plate Photography is Back

Freestyle Photo, Blue Moon Camera, and Argentix.Ca in Canada all sell my dry plates now.

I thought those of you with plate cameras in your collection might be interested to know.

FWIW, I bought a 4x5 Graflex-branded plate holder that fits any camera that will take standard Graflex/Riteway and the like film holders. I've used it almost exclusively in the B&J field in my avatar, but it should work in your Calumet, Tachihara, Ebony, Sinar, or whatever. My next shots will be in my Speed since I've mostly been using my new(to me) Nikkor-SW 75mm, and at the moment I only have a Pacemaker Graphic board for it...I got hold of Steve Grimes about making a Pacemaker Graphic-B&J board, but haven't actually taken the initiative yet...

FWIW, I bought two boxes from Opticman. I'm still working on the first box and had some initial teething pains, but my last two plates were workable(just without any artistic merit :) ).
