Lens Mount for 80mm Rodenstock f4.0 on D-6 Omega

Does anyone know which lens mount I need for a Rodenstock 80mm f4.0

enlarger lens on an omega d-6. The lens is ten years old at the

most. Does the lens mount need to be recessed for the turret to

turn? I purchased it from ebay and should receive the lens later

this week.

If the lens thread agrees with the thread on your turret,just screw it in, but check to see if the rear element doesn'tprotrude above the surface of the turret.

I also have a D-6 and the Rodagon 80mm f/4.0 lens. It has a 39mm thread and it needed the Omega number 421932 mounting plate to mount it onto the enlarger. I do not have the turret, but the mounting plates are the same whether you use the slide-in lens mounting system or the turret.

 

I should emphasize that I'm talking about the Rodagon "model" of lens. Rodenstock made/makes other lenses such as Rogonar, Omegaron, and APO Rodagon(Don't know if any of these others have an 80mm available.). If your 80mm is one of these other Rodenstock lens "models" then a different mounting plate may be required. If you need To find a lens/mounting plate combination for a non-Rodagon lens the info used to be available online at Omega's web site at www.satter.com (I think).

I have a D-6 and mounted an ElNikkor lens on the slidein lensboard that came with the enlarger using a retaining ring-39mm?? Be absolutely certain of the parallelism of the carrier,lens,and base. Recently I bought a grain focuser that has made focussing much simpler.

Thanks for the info. The lens came today. The mount I have on my turret fits however the turret will not turn. I have seen a recessed mount but do know the part number or where to get one. I may also need a retaing ring since none of my mounts have threads, I had to hold in place to see if the turret would turn and it did not.

If the lens won't turn then a recessed mount won't help.

 

Call Omega/Satter and have them tell you what you need.
