Hello peeps. Its Friday again. Please don't hesitate to post your fave of the week. I'll start with a photo from the Newport Beach, CA pier shot with an M7 and 35mm Cron. I believe the film was the very contrasty and grainy HP5 (or is it 4?) don't recall. Let's see yours and no slacking :)

So, I'll indulge. A few shots with my re-surfaced M6 ttl, summicron 50mm, collapsible, with ttl flash, f 5.6. We took my dear wife out for 'mother's day', here early in May. All with fp4 (at least not cooked this time, developed with ilfosol, and scanned this morning). So the shots. The first is Anne, a good friend of my wife's son (she has a disability); the second, my wife's son, Shawn, who has global developmental delay. We share his care week about with his father - he has a regrettable snarl when being photographed. Didn't do it this time. And then my good wife. And, even more indulgent, my wife's daughter who came with us to our mother's day dinner (now there's a tale - reconstructed marriages remind me of my grandfather's aphorism, which he told me in my youth: 'isn't life the strangest thing you've ever seen, clotted milk masquerades as cream, lupus presents as hives'.

I enjoy the M6, and will use it more frequently. Her name is Naomi:

That's good Allen. And Billblackwellphotography, really quite exquisite. Tell me, I'm looking to get a colour body to complement the monochrom (for travel next year, probably after June). What's worth looking at. It will be an eprey purchase. What would you suggest?. Regards, Arthur (apiarist1)

It depends on your budget. If I had nothing I'd buy the same camera I have or an M10, Prior to acquiring the M-P 240 I had the original M-Monochrom. But, by comparison, I decided I liked its B&W conversions just as well, or better.

Thanks, billblackwellphotography. If that's what an MP 240 does (colour and b&w) , that's brilliant. Looking at a second hand thru a trader here in Oz. Will let you know how the Luigi half case goes. Should arrive late May. Regards, Arthur (apiarist1). Now, back to my last assessment item for this semester.

Just a note everyone. If you could try to post photos in the thread for the week were in instead of the week before unless you have some specific reason for doing so. I'm trying to keep current weekly participation up. Thanks.

MP-240 and 35mm f1.4 FLE. Monochrome conversion in Adobe Camera raw. The latest Monochrome profile is an excellent starting point in converting Leica M digital raw files. As much as I would like to eventually nab an M246, MP240 and M262 color files convert beautifully with a little extra processing in ACR to taste.
