I have a M-1 auto winder and X-570 acting crazy

The X-570 works without auto winder perfectly and the auto winder will not advance film. I hear an attempt by the winder but no success. Any ideas ?? I tried without film and with film.

The motor drive coupling on the camera base may be damaged. The X series Minoltas sometimes developed this condition. If the camera will work with either another motor drive or with the autowinder, then the camera is not at fault. When my family owned a camera shop the winder coupling was the most common repair needed with X series, especially the less expensive X-370.
