davecaz
Some images from the lovely Voigtlander Vitessa with the 50mm Ultron f/2 lens, possibly my favourite fixed-lens rangefinder camera, and a pic of the camera itself. The film was Ilford FP4 Plus developed in PMK Pyro. Vitessa Autumn Cafe Rustic Trying to Get Ahead Preparing for Anzac Day Spotlit Courtyard Gorgeous work, as always, Rick. Adding whatever that accessory is to the Vitessa was a good idea. It makes the camera look a little less obscenely "happy to see you". But, what is it? I thought at first it was a special viewfinder, but you don't seem to have added anything to the lens that would require such a thing. And it doesn't look like there's a metering cell in the front. It makes the camera look a little less obscenely "happy to see you". But, what is it? Ah, Dave, that's one of Voigtlander's more ingenious accessories. The Kontur finder is the ultimate brightline viewfinder; the user looks through the viewer with the lead eye leaving both eyes open, and the brain superimposes a bright frameline, apparently floating in mid air in the area being viewed by the user, rather like a modern "heads up" display in a fighter jet. Obviously, this gives the greatest possible peripheral vision, and is really handy for moving subjects. I find it accurate enough for everyday use, following focusing with the camera's viewfinder, which is a tad squinty. It can be used on any camera with a 50mm lens. rick_drawbridge
Mike Gammill said: Rick, that Voigtlander looks like it's brand new. Yes, it's certainly a very tidy example, Mike. Once one gets used to the plunger film advance and the thumbwheel focusing, the camera becomes a delight to use. I'll look forward to seeing some images from yours. Tony Evans
MJ, Thank you for that. Will try that out using the TMax developer instead of my usual Rodinal for Stand. Tony. Tony Evans
mjferron
MJ, Thank you for that. Will try that out using the TMax developer instead of my usual Rodinal for Stand. Tony. Oh Tony the 8oz and 16oz measurements are for standard metal tank and reels. Some plastic tanks might require a bit more.

rick_drawbridge
A few frames from this morning's session with a Mamiya 645 1000s with the Mamiya Sekor 55-105mm f/4.5 lens and a load of Bergger Pancro 400. The film was developed in PMK Pyro and scanned on a Epson V700 Photo using Silverfast SE Software. I really enjoy the lengthening shadows and hard light of Autumn... chuck_foreman1
I loaded some color film in my Werra III and I used the Flektogon for my Photo bummel. As I don't do my own color development this was a week or two ago. BTW I still enjoy the luxury of letting the drugstore develop my film. Ok, I live in a big city and amazingly...they still do it here! I also had them develop a roll of 616 Kodacolor II that was dated in 1972. Besides the pin holes that I thought I'd covered, there was a very strong blue tint. The lab did refuse to supply prints , informing this format is not supported and to do so they would charge 3 dollars each. I have no carriers and laid the negs flat on the glass ...excuse the dirt and dust... So the Werra shots are scans of the prints, but the 616 Jiffy-Kodak are scanned 616 negs ..au naturel Schloßturm ..again The Marxhaus... early skyscraper Burgplatz view to Altstadt Drei Scheibenhaus (three Slices Bldg- Krupp) 616 scanned neg View to same bldg from Hofgarten a bit soft ...no sharpening etc
rick_drawbridge
Excellent work with the Werra, Chuck; it's not a camera we see very much of on CMC. I see you have one of the early green copies, still my favourite, though apparently there were very mixed reactions from the market when it was released, and the green was replaced by regulation black for subsequent models. A worthwhile exercise with the old Kodak 616, too.
Tony Evans
At last! The sun came out this weekend and I ventured out to shoot the roll of FOMA 400 which had been sitting in the RTS II for some time. Developed in PMK and wet-scanned late last night on the BSH and V700 under Silverfast SE. Nothing very serious but it was good to be out in the sun again.
