Professional nude photography database like shutterstock or dreamstime

Hello,

 

For a project I've been tasked in finding 300+ stylish nude photography photos.

There are no restrictions in age of the photo (they can be taken from 1950 to 2018)

 

I'm familiar with companies like shutterstock or dreamstime, but I have no idea if there are specialized companies that sell nude photography photos available for commercial print.

The problem may be with the stylish, although I suppose everything has "style", maybe just not good style.

I was afraid the thread would go this direction.

There are several members who do some very nice artistic / stylish nudes - why don't you check out the nude category and PM some of them. 300 is not a particularly large number of images.number

The big Stock Photography Agents, (like Getty as one example) have sub-groups for Nudes. It shouldn't be too difficult to find Nudes sub-group within most. Perhaps most, images from Stock Agents may be of a more recent genre or style.

 

Apropos examples from1950 and forward, you could research and contact specific Publishers, for example Playboy; Penthouse. Vouge; Time Life; Pirelli; there are many more. Note that many have indivual Publishers being Country specific, (for Example Vouge Paris / Vouge England). Each publications has a specific niche/genre, yet Time Life Publications have an extensive range of Fine Art and more general Nude Photography within many of its libraries, especially Its Photography Library. The bigger (bricks and mortar) Libraries, for example National and State Libraries are a research rich environment.

 

I found that contacting Publishers and the larger Libraries (and meeting with the Head Librarian) was exceptionally useful for the research for my Thesis. Even though some publications may now be out of circulation, the rights and images are still available.

 

Noted that your acquisition of these images is for commercial purposes, which is different to academic research, but you never know what might be available to you, until you ask..

You could always search Google for nude images etc - just make sure you have the setting enabled that shows images for reuse without any limitations etc
