james_elwing
Why don't you care about the meter? The SL35 is like a frail but handsome Pentax Spotmatic. The metering transmission rod bends easily but can be straightened easily. The metering cell, well that's just a CDS cell. It's worth fixing; nice camera. Someone will know. Good luck
chuck_foreman1
Most repairmen are able to apply synergies from other repairs... so finding somebody who has experience on this particular model will be hard, but finding a repairman should not be hard. Anybody who works on 60s/70s SLRs should be able to do the once over to tweak it to it's expected performance. A so called CLA implies no repairs. If the repairman takes on the work he will tell you about necessary repairs...and if it requires "spare parts" then there might be needed a donor camera, but a "CLA" could or should be no stretch for most any camera repairman.
