Error Messages again - can't post!

For the last few weeks, several of us have been once again experiencing the “You can’t post for 192 seconds” error message. As we know, that's just a bogus message which really means we won't be able to post for anywhere from a couple of minutes to several hours. Today was my worst experience in this new round of the error message appearing, where I couldn't post for about 3 hours. Gordon started a thread about it over a week ago. Sanford joined that thread and said he was experiencing it as well. Two other members liked the posts so, presumably, they're having difficulty as well. Who knows how many others are having the problem but are just resigned to living with this malfunctioning site or are just leaving and giving up?

 

How can you possibly have not responded to the previous thread about this? Did you just miss it? And how is it possible this is happening again?

 

No Words is one of the few parts of the site that still has good participation and this is sure putting a damper on things.

 

Glenn, are you facing up to the fact that something is terribly wrong? Have you considered calling a specialist in to program the site or at least search for the specific reason this is happening, and to FIX IT once and for all? You obviously can't rely on your present resources BECAUSE THAT'S NOT WORKING!

 

I know you often wonder at the bad attitude of some of the regular members. And I can appreciate that. Well, right or wrong, THIS IS WHY: an ongoing malfunction that prevents us from posting and no answer from administration for over a week.

The issue has been added to our current list of bugs. I can stay on them to address it - what is maddening is that we were good for a while on this and now its back. Trust me, I share your frustration with issues like this that reoccur.

I've come to accept that my posts will be ignore ... or deleted. For what it's worth Fred, I too am still having the same issue. My solution has been to participate less.
