davecaz
The sign was apparently upgraded two years ago. Modern LED flex tubing looks very similar to neon. Thanks. I guess they have progressed(?) more than I knew of. That is, I guess it's progress, even though it doesn't feel like it. It feels like another loss of something cool. But, I know LEDs are a bazillion times more energy efficient, so....

Don Harpold
Nice photos, Don. I'm very impressed with the image quality from the Rollei 35. I know they have a great reputation, but I'm not sure I've seen many photos from them. I actually have one, but it got shelved when other priorities arose, and I never got back to it. I should give it a try one of these days. Thanks Dave I appreciate the comments, those are from the plain Rollei 35, it is a verey good little camera, I got mine because Mike has posted some very good photos with his and " I want to be like Mike" :)
Mike Gammill
Thanks for the compliment, Don. Good thing that I never got one of these limited edition Rollei 35S cameras that were finished in gold. Great work with that Rollei 35, Don. The Delta 100 shot shows off the accuracy of exposure in that camera since that film has a bit less latitude than Pan F+ (at least the way I develop) I look forward to seeing more work from the Rollei. rick_drawbridge
What a great selection of images, this weekend! I managed to get out with the Ihagee Exa I posted a photo of in the "What camera(s) are you using this weekend" thread, loaded with Kentmere 100. I'd swapped the Meritar lens for a 48mm CZJ Biotar f/2, and it turned in the sharp images for which this lens is renowned. The film was developed in PMK Pyro and scanned on an Epson V700 Photo using Silverfast SE software. rick_drawbridge
The artwork that you create with ordinary things never ceases to amaze me, Rick. If I shot these scenes, they'd be the most boring and banal shots ever! Very nice as always! Thanks, Andy! I live in fear and trembling of becoming truly banal... Mike Gammill
Thanks, all for the congratulations and for all the great photos on this thread. I have two rolls of Kentmere 100 to develop and scan (one in Nikon FE-2 and other in Konica Auto S1.6) Depending upon when that is complete I may add a few more to this weeks thread or just save them to start the next thread. I do have a few black & images of Lilly Sue (new granddaughter) but none are really close. I might be able to crop and get a little more detail. I'll probably do that roll in a day or two.

chuck_foreman1
the text got lost as well as the captions... Grrr Congrats Mike.. Life has made a irreversible change for your child, but grandchildren are a delight! My contribution this week comes from the Fed 1. This belonged to my neighbor who knew it was a fake but bought it anyway. Wermacht Nazi symbols are so tempting. I had tried it out before, but had massive problems with the film advance and removing the spool. Upon his death, his widow gave it to me along with multiple old cameras. (2x Retina and 1x Bessa 6x9 folder) I decided to try it again and straightened the rewind shaft so that it moved freely, thus the film advance didn't tear the film. I was able to remove the spool gingerly with pliers. When expectations are low any result seems positive. Not having any previous "Leica" experience; the little Fed was a good street shooter. I get it .. small in the hand collapsible etc. Nice pleasant experience. Essentially the F stops are a pain so leave it at f11 or so and change the shutter from 30-100 as needed. The cough cough Elmar is not very promising here.. but it's a crap shoot with soviet lenses. The film was Kentmere 100 souped in D76 1:1 and these are the straight scans from the Epson
Rick_van_Nooij
Shot a roll through a Zeiss Ikonta "A" or 520 last week. http://www.flibweb.nl/flibweb/cpg154/albums/userpics/10001/ZI180203.jpg http://www.flibweb.nl/flibweb/cpg154/albums/userpics/10001/ZI180206.jpg http://www.flibweb.nl/flibweb/cpg154/albums/userpics/10001/ZI180209.jpg Exposed the roll using Sunny f/16 The 520 is a capable little shooter despite the f/6.3 lens and bit limited Derval Shutter.

LMar
Nice! Much better results than I got from my 519. (Very likely my fault, not the camera's) Thanks very much! I actually splurged and had the camera overhauled after the shutter started hanging up at the +1/100 shutter speeds --- big improvement afterwards.
