arthur_mcculloch2
Yes, saw that in our Oz's Daily Terrorgraph yesterday (It's owned by The Rupert, so is as rabidly right wing as you can go, and pig ignorant - I guess it's like the American Fox News, but could be wrong, I believe also owned by The Rupert. He and The Donald make a pair). A two paragraph story. It's an amazing price, but there you go, only three good examples left. God, nor his prophet, Oscar, are making these one's anymore. What price uniqueness? Here's a hope for all the M9 purchasers, just another 50 - 80 years, and you won't have to worry about superannuation, sensor failure, collapse of electronics, batteries, etc. It'll be collectable. Still, a prototype. I hope it went to a public facility, not a private collector, and will be seen in public. And of course, it won't take any photographs ever again, if it ever did, which, strangely, was what it was made for. Or at least, to try for. I wonder if it came with the lens? Strange world. james_elwing
Yes it looks very clean. At that price it would have to have been the original lens. It's an Anastigmat not a later Elmar. At that price, the Russians are probably pulling out their hack saws and zorkis to get a piece of the action. I hope they put it in a dry safe.
