Lens repair advice

Greetings. I have a Canon EF 28-70mm f2.8 that has not been used in a few years. I just borrowed a 5 body and tested it. It has developed a slight "sticktion" spot in the 28mm to 35mm zoom, as well as some randomly soft images, so there is something wrong with the focus function. The glass and cosmetics are excellent, so I think that it is worth fixing. Canon does not support this lens any longer. Does anyone have any recommendations for an appropriate repair shop? Thank you, Geoff

It would be a good idea to let us all know where you live and /or how far you are willing to package and send or travel to collect it.

Maybe you won't get any responses, but what I mean is, in my attempt to make a suggestion, I had a squizz at your profile Bio and I couldn't ascertain where you live, so I guessed it is more likely somewhere in the USA, than elsewhere - so suggesting my Lens Technician, who is located in George Street, Sydney, would probably be not very useful.
