You know, sometimes you just have to get some drive-through fast food. That's right, a quarter-pounder with cheese. There, I said it.

But if you do it at noon, you're going to sit in that drive-through line for a few minutes. And there's the camera bag next to you, and ... OK, it's the roof of the McDonald's. I think they're going to need to sell a few more burgers and get that fixed. Anybody else shoot while they were waiting for something? Let's see some photos!mcdonalds_roof.thumb.jpg.cb8955609cb5cf2ec04bd473389b8878.jpg

I'm not sure how much these count... I was in Ely for a tiddlywinks tournament (at which I took more samey photos - I need to work on that, and having the D850's silent shutter mode might help when I get there...) and I spent a while waiting between rounds, then got told the food wait at the pub was an hour, so I took the time taking advantage of the light on the cathedral.

These are pretty much the shots that everyone takes of Ely Cathedral (and they had the altar in the middle, so I couldn't stand directly under the tower like my last visit), so I'm not asserting high art. But they're from my ongoing goal to do some actual shooting every week this year and see whether I ever become a competent photographer, so this is what you get. :-)

First, outside in the sun (and could have been the looming towers of Mordor): D810, 14-24 at 14mm.
