Contests?

The opening page on photo.net today shows two contests: "Love and Happiness" and "Your Legacy as a Photographer". Both indicate they are open for submissions.

 

Clicking on "Love and Happiness" brings up a series of submitted photos and a note that says "Submissions will be open through February 28th, 2018". There is an "Enter This Contest" button. When I click on "Enter This Contest" it takes me to the Forums menu. I cannot find any way to enter this contest.

 

Clicking on "Your Legacy as a Photographer" brings up a series of submitted photos, each with a "Vote" button. There is no "Enter This Contest" button. A note says "Voting will be open through March 1st, 2018".

 

So, I assume it's too late to enter the "Your Legacy as a Photographer" contest that advertises that it is open for submissions. So how about the "Love and Happiness" contest? Does anyone know the secret to submitting photos for this one?

“Enter This Contest” has been linking to the forums instead of the contest for months. Glenn is aware of it. Don’t know why it hasn’t been fixed.

 

Here’s what works for me on an iPad. It’s anyone’s guess whether it will work for you, depending on your computer and browser, since things work so inconsistently around here. Tap on your avatar in the upper right. Go to portfolio. On the side there will be a list of about 6 items, one of which will be CONTESTS. If you click on that, a menu will come up with a SUBMIT button. Click that and all your thumbnails will come up and you can choose the photo you want to submit. There are way too many steps to this process, a bizarre bit of programming, and there may be an easier way, but if there is I haven’t found it. Good luck.

And, as we’ve both clearly stated, it doesn’t. We know what page it’s supposed to take us to. The problem being brought to your attention is that, for many of us (this has been brought up by others as well), that link takes us to the main forum list page and not the page you’re showing us. And, yes, we’re logged in at the time.

Fred, thanks for the help but that doesn't work for me on my iMac. The problem persists that the "Enter this contest" link takes me to the Forums menu. (Also, clicking on "Upload" takes me to the forums menu.) However, the link in GPalm's response, above, gets me to the contest upload page.

Well, the link in GPalm's post, above, worked once, but won't work now. Also, the menu under "Portfolio" (Recent activity, Comments, etc) doesn't list Contests on my account.
