Norma Desmond Posted January 7, 2018 Share Posted January 7, 2018 Laurent, because I've found the portfolio part of the new website so dysfunctional and hard to work with, I'm not getting many comments on photos anymore or making many, for that matter, because I've basically ignored it. But if you want to make a test comment on a photo of mine, I'll be happy to let you know if I get an email alert. Looks like the last comment I received was on Dec. 13 and I did get an email for that. I don't know how long it takes for an email to be sent out, and judging by how the rest of the site functions, it's probably just a random amount of time and not consistent, but let me know in this thread if you've made a comment, and I'll post back to the thread when I receive an email. frigo Posted January 7, 2018 Author Share Posted January 7, 2018 Fred,...Thank you for the kind offer of assistance;I have commented on one of your images to see if it generates an email alert.I may just add that until a few weeks ago,the email alert function worked without fault for me and I must say rather swiftly matching the appearance of any comment on the Recent Activity Report of the Portfolio section which I am now using as Sanford suggested above;however,what does not appear on this is any reply to comments I have made on others'images which normally came in by email.Another piece of the portfolio section which I cannot get to work is setting opening page to the Recent Activity Report which defaults to Photos but that is minor with respect to all the other stuff which needs attention.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

frigo Posted February 22, 2018 Author Share Posted February 22, 2018 Glen...must I come to the conclusion that this is yet another issue which is not going to be resolved?Guess this is part of the invitation to leave;I was of the first group who was confronted with renewing my membership when PN was going through what I thought were growing pains of the new format but I now realize that renewal will again pop its head and we are basically right where we were then....save for the lost of many talented colleagues who obviously had a clearer vision that I had.
