jdebever
Another week flown by. As usual 3 pictures, 1000 pixels max. I need cheering up. The trees in the park will have to wait. So here's some from the canaval parade from last tuesday in my hometown.

Trigger_Happy
Those were really colorful and happy images. I've purchased a new ring flash modifier to be mounted directly on camera, using speedlight. My old one was a bit too small in the center. It creates a special look for sure. One issue I have with portraits in general, specially with dark eyes. It's kind of difficult to get the iris sharp. I do not have this issue with lighter eyes. I think it's a combination of auto-focus and low contrast of the iris itself. Any ideas? Anyway, Harald's happy! 5D Mark IV, 100mm Tokina macro

JRCrowe
A cornfield at the Merced National wildlife refuge with several hundred Sandhill Cranes feasting. The corn is grown especially for the cranes and knocked down at the appropriate time. Two days later the corn and the cranes were gone. There was one more field of corn waiting to be flattened so they will be back. There are a few thousand snow geese and the several hundred cranes at the refuge so the sounds are amazing also.
