ShunCheung
Gorgon JB, my first reaction was that raccoon was somehow wearing a hat, and then I looked closer. Nice jelly fish image from Dieter. Last summer, I saw a lot of those in the Monterey Bay. They were on the surface and I captured plenty of images, but the water wasn't nearly as clear. For that, it is much easier in a controlled environment.

JRCrowe
Coopers Hawk is my guess. Just learning. Out at the Merced National wildlife refuge today, the snow geese got a little flustered when this guy showed up, but I think he was looking for something on the menu that was less filling.

Mary Doo
Gordon, was your racoon dancing with the hat when you saw it? Here's a gingerbread cookie that looks like a starfish. ;) Olympus EM1 II with 12-100mm lens @31mm (effective 62mm). 1/160s; f/5.6; ISO 1600

Tim_Lookingbill
I just can't get enough of the warm hues of winter plant decay and all the textures and gnarly growth I can find in my local Panther Canyon.
