bradleycloven
It has been a very long time since I've had an opportunity and shots to share. Our Bill Bowes gave me a Calumet 4x5, from which I've developed and scanned a mere 4 shots. Happily, they were not blank. I'll go into the excruciating technical details in another thread at another time. In the mean time, THANKS BILL! I'm having a ball. Chehalis Barn, Calumet 4x5, Caltar 215mm f/6.3, Agfa APX 100 ten years out of date, D-76, Epson V800.

rick_drawbridge
A great start, with some terrific images! I've been away on business and haven't fondled a camera for a week, and withdrawals are setting in... Hopefully, if the weather improves I might have something else to post, tomorrow. In the meantime, here are some from a week or so ago from a Nikon FE with either a 105mm Nikkor-P Auto f/2.5 or a Nikon 35-70mm Zoom-Nikkor f/3.3-4.5s Macro. The film was Arista EDU Ultra 100 developed in PMK Pyro. Lenses noted. arthur_mcculloch2
bradleycloven, I endorse Bill Bowes comment. The shot of the fishing platforms has an interesting caste - how did you do that? Rick - great photos. Bravo. Arthur (apiarist1)
bradleycloven
bradleycloven, I endorse Bill Bowes comment. The shot of the fishing platforms has an interesting caste - how did you do that? Rick - great photos. Bravo. Arthur (apiarist1) My scanning skills are nominal. So many things I haven't figured out. For the fishing platforms, the color cast is due to the fact that I scanned a B&W negative with all colors of the scanner going, converted the color scan of the B&W negative to a positive, and did NOT change the color rendition to full B&W. In other words, the several color channels were all trying desperately to find some color in there, and I left it alone. The result is a nice sepia look. Another day, I'll have a complete Q&A thread about my difficulties and successes scanning. I need help, but that's for another day. For that shot too, there is the issue of the fog on the right. Firstly, there was actual fog coming down the river. Secondly, the falls kicked up quite a spray, and some of that is in the shot. Finally, I did have some problem with the negative holder while it was in camera, and some stray light may have crept in on that side. I cropped out anything that didn't match my mental picture of the scene, but some residual unintentional fogging may have occurred.

chuck_foreman1
I wanted to do an old fashioned post about the gear and the photos done with it but this weekly forum will just have to do. Some years back already my neighbor kindly gave me her Sisters Rolleiflex T knowing I would use it was enough for her generosity. Our paths crossed before Christmas and she told me she found some "lesser"§ gear in the garage that probably belonged to one of her two (deceased?) husbands. One was a Kodak 33 126 and the other was a rather nice Nettar with the 6.3 Novar. The lens was a bit clouded and I feared the worse, but it cleaned up nicely. This model was featured here by Steve Mareno a few years back. My exemplar looks a bit discolored from age and has a few "Zeiss bumps) but it handles like it was new. The transport and the shutter etc are as good as the day it was built and like all my experience with Zeiss bellows ...no pinholes. This has been a very grey winter here in NRW but I took it out anyway. The film Fomopan 100 (aka Earl Grey / Lomo) was souped in D76 1:1. I was pleased with the contrast given the conditions and the film's reported properties. Zeiss Ikon Nettar 517/1261951-57 Zeiss Ikon Nettar 517/1261951-57 Rhein Promenade.. note the high water The Oberkassler Bridge a bit soft... film flatness?? Hofgarten Dame ( Statue in City Park... a common subject for me... ) Hofgarten Dame II Pleased with both focus and exposure. The lens is wide open at 6.3 and 1/25th
