Wouter Willemse
Indeed the Northern hemisphere at my latitude at the moment leaves little possibility to make some decent photos, let alone of the quality of those already shared (which probably has more to do with me than with the weather though). So two photos from rolls that already starred here once before.... Yashica D, HP5 at ISO400 in HC110 dil. H. Kiev 2a with Helios-103, HP5 at ISO400 in HC110 dil. James Bryant
Seems a little slow on the thread this weekend; perhaps the Northern Hemisphere winter has many of our members hunkered down. I'll post a few frames featuring our annual Cruise Martinborough event, a four-day party that brings together hundreds of classic vehicles, mainly American, and their happy owners. It's quite an event, but sadly my involvement cost me an opportunity to meet up with our Tony Evans, who was passing through our area. Big regrets, Tony, hopefully we'll make it next time. Anyway, most of my shooting was done on the digital cameras but I did find time to shoot of a roll of Ilford FP4 Plus in a Nikon FE wearing a 33-70mm Zoom Nikkor f/3.3-4.5. The film was developed in PMK Pyro. The light was a little dull and the images lack sparkle, but a soft light does make photographing cars a little easier. There was a market day running with the "Show and Shine" event that packed the town square with vehicles this morning, and I noticed this stall-holder creating a lot of interest with his "Retro Radio" business. James Bryant
Kodachrome 25 - Nikkormat EL sunset rainbows over Gold Hill JDMvW, Nice image. I wish I had known in the 60s & 70s that Kodachrome was the least likely to fade. My Kodachromes still have good colors my C41 and prints are badly faded/
JDMvW
I've had fair results with later Ektachrome when it was developed by Kodak. I guess they weren't telling the others exactly everything, or maybe they were just more careful. An objective look at color permanence is to be found in the downloads from Wilhelm Imaging Research. Mike Gammill
Great images.everyone. Regarding Ektachrome, my best E4 (Ektachrome-X and High Speed Ektachrome) were done by Kodak via prepaid mailer. Some of my first color shots (127 and 126) were made on Ektachrome-X. When I got my Konica Auto S2 I used High Speed Ektachrome when I needed more speed than Kodachrome. My favorite E4 film was Fujichrome R100. Shot a lot when a shop closed it out with Fuji processing included. One from the mid-70's with the Fujichrome R100 MSU Union, Minolta SRT 201 with Tamron 85-210 (at 85mm setting most likely)
Don Harpold
Hello Here are some more that I got scanned today, these are from the Rollei 35S using Portra 160, these were developed by FotoExpress in San Jose Some came out good and others not so good, my scanning of color needs practice, I adjusted to what looked good to me and then in PS I used Auto Color Correction and some came out a lot better, practice, practice. More to come later Enjoying the "new" scanner, and really like the dust and scratch tool NO Pacific Grove CA Lighthouse Pacific Grove CA ocean San Jose Street Stand pipe
