Locked Files ??

What's with all the lock files ? Has nature become non PC ?? Bill

Are you asking why old threads are locked? The reason is that Monday in Nature is a weekly thread. Sometimes people get mixed up and post to a Monday thread from a week or even a few weeks ago.

I believe one week from January 15 should be January 22 ???

I noticed that the Jan 15th MiN thread did get locked earlier that usual. The Jan 22 thread hasn't started yet. There's no PC involved, that is if PC translates to political correctness. PC is my cats name and she didn't have anything to do with it.:rolleyes:

Typically I don't wait until a new thread is started before I close the previous thread, (but sometimes I miss it and close it late). Otherwise we can have the issue that people getting mixed up and post to an old thread. It is Monday in Nature such that we are supposed to post on Mondays or at most a day or two after. Typically I close threads on Saturdays or Fridays, but I guess I was a day early this week.

 

In these days I don't already read this forum every single day. It still would be nice to automate the start and close of all of these weekly threads, but I have been suggesting that for a years and wouldn't count on that happening, ever.

In our house PC stands for Pretty Cat, Psycho Cat, or anything in between. She's also looks good in pictures, so Photogenic Cat.
