sveecee
I rang Nikon and asked how I could find the shutter count. on my D70. They replied that, unfortunately, Nikon did not accommodate this option but I have seen, on this site, references to the D70 shutter count, can anyone clarify? Dieter Schaefer
The shutter count is in the EXIF data; I just checked with an image taken with the D70. Upload an unprocessed JPEG file here: Camera Shutter Count

ben_hutcherson
As Dieter indicated, upload an UNEDITED JPEG or NEF to any of the numerous shutter count sites on the internet and you will find it. This is not possible with the D1 series cameras(D1, D1H, D1X) or D100, but the D70 and newer carry that info in the EXIF.
