Dieter Schaefer
Brian, I hate to point this out, but if you put an SD card in a D300 at all, you were doing something wrong! Thought the same thing - but maybe Brian was referring to the D300S. Edited January 8, 2018 by Dieter Schaefer
BeBu Lamar
I don't know if the OP saying it correctly but he said the card still have 1cm out. With 1cm and with a pair of pliers I can pull with a lot of force.
Andrew Garrard
Thought the same thing - but maybe Brian was referring to the D300S. Oh yes. For some reason I had remembered the D300s having dual CF slots like the D3. I'd forgotten that the D300s had the D800's arrangement (or vice-versa I guess). ShunCheung
I have inserted an SD card backward once, probably to a D7000 or D7100. I ended up using a pair of small needle-nose pliers to pull it out.
mike_halliwell
I'm forever putting the tiny mico-sd into my Nikon J5 back-to-front. They are so damned tiny, any markings on card or black plastic slot are pointless... But the refusal to fit is very obvious as it tilts the card so out of true, you'd be crazy to push harder. Standard SD, however, is so close to fitting, a firmer push should do it...
PapaTango
Another 'drive-by posting'. One total post, OP has not been back since the 2nd... But hopefully some good info for others that are caught in a similar situation. Needle nose pliers and hemostats are your friend for many things... 1 "I See Things..." Andrew Garrard
Maybe it would be helpful to have a note on the "new thread" page warning people that we're just interested people, not official tech support, and it might take us a little while to respond - and that it's nice to report back to us?
