Starting out the new year with a first-class head cold. So this Nikon Wednesday is a bit of a revisit to shoot from the week before. Shiny red stuff! Let's see some other photos, Nikon people. red_trailer_cabinets.thumb.jpg.1dadfa09b9f53ceba5a30f2db90cb99e.jpg

D810 with a 14-24/2.8. Love that lens.

Oddly enough, today was one of the first really cold days of winter here. Or at least it felt properly cold even though it was not that cold considering. A walk around the waterfall by an old mill resulted in some new shots. As most people have only posted one photo this week, I take that as some sort of new year's resolution and will try to do the same.

Sorry to be running a bit late as usual. I'd actually been keen last Sunday and gone out to take some snaps and get some exercise - but I was too slow, and the sun had gone down. Gloomy ducks don't look very interesting, but I had a visit from a couple of squirrels (sorry, can't match Matt's "red" theme in this part of the country) who were busier chasing each other for food than looking at me.

Since these were after sundown, they're all a bit of a D810 high-ISO test, especially since they've been cropped a bit. All 200-500 at 500mm. Starting at 1/250s, ISO 4000 (and pushed a bit).
