Gerald Cafferty
Another weekly challenge. If anyone else would like to post next week please give it a go, upload a High resolution jpeg. Just indicate by Wednesday next in this thread if you are willing to try. Remember there are no rules you can do what you wish in your interpretation, please can you give information of the steps taken and software used to add interest. It is not meant as a competition just a bit of fun.

michaellinder
Cropped from left side and adjusted tonal levels in PSE15. Went to Color Efex: graduated neutral density filter to lighten top area a bit, then applied graduated fog filter to top third, used warming filter to enhance tree color. Finally used sharpening tool on bottom area.

tom_r
View from a very cold window. Cropping with a little cloning followed by an ice filter. I need a red cardinal!
tom_r
Before my previous Ice Ice Baby winter posting, I experimented with what I call my Trans-Siberian-Orchestra holiday version because it's way over the top. michaellinder
After looking at Tom's abstract, I had to create one of my own. Inverted colors, replaced resulting some brown tones in the fg with dark gray, used sponge tool to boost saturation selectively, and (using Viveza) added a moon.

Glenn McCreery
Michael, no, not intentionally channeling van Gogh, but I can see a start to a "Starry Night" theme.
