arthur_gottschalk
I've been reading about Ilford's chromogenic SP2 Super B&W chromogenic film and I think I'll give it a try. But I'm wondering if I can use normal B&W filters (yellow, orange, red, yellow-green etc.) with this film as I normally do with Tri-X. I intend to have the film professionally processed and will print with variable contest paper.
Sandy Vongries
I've been reading about Ilford's chromogenic SP2 Super B&W chromogenic XP2? Have found it quite interesting. I treat it just as I do TriX, sometimes with B&W filters sometimes not. The enlarger is still retired, I have it developed professionally, scan myself (though I may have the processor scan next time to see if I like it) and print with my Canon photo printer. I plan to do quite a lot more parallel to digital. Here is a link to a thread that may be of interest. Ilford XP 2 and variable ISO Good fun, in any case. Jochen_S
Yes, sure. Maybe different films render the same color into slightly different grey scales but basically stick to your experience with other panchromatic material when using filters. arthur_gottschalk
Yes Sandy, I read your post. That's what got me interested. I'll give it a try, probably in 120. Thanks.
