Help with studio flash not working

Hi,

I am trying to find some advice about a malfunctioning studio flash. I can not find a technical support in my country.

When I turn on the flash there is a constant beep and It is not working. I wonder if is a common problem or same kind of alarm.

I use other models of Jinbei flashes at work. They work, don't beep eternally when switched on and do fire.- One seemed to have issues with a fan bearing or similar but we apparently got it fixed for free when we sent it in during a recent call back by the German seller.

Sorry I have no clue what exactly could be wrong about your unit. I fear you have to look for a service center abroad.

That's the problem with these cheap Chinese made strobes. When they go wrong you're on your own. Either treat them as disposable or be prepared to do a course in high-voltage electronics to repair one.

Maybe you could find a repairer willing to trace out the circuit and fault find it, but my guess is the repair bill would exceed the worth of the unit. Especially if the (inevitable) CPU or firmware has gone faulty.
