Kodak 5222 DoubleX

Hello All

I have some 35mm 5222 DoubleX coming and was wondering if some of you can post a photo or two with this film and give me your developing.

I have HC110, Rodinal, and Pyrocat HD which I am using more and more.

Also, do you shoot it at 200 or 100 or?

Hello everyone. Don, over in Film Cam. Wk for Sept 1 (pg 3) I also have two other pictures taken during a race weekend with a roll of 5222/XX in my Fed-2/Jupiter-8, @ 125asa on my Pilot, and processed in my "normal" Obsidian Aqua for 16min @ 68f. The results were good, but nothing that blows my UFX/Kentmere 100 materials away & considering the hassle of getting the XX film in small rolls, plus the postage, I rate the UFX/Kentmere 100 material my contender for this asa range film. I rate the UFX/Kentmere 100 material @ 80asa, so not much is given away in speed. For this range of material I am almost always using the monopod. If it is "speed" I need, the 2nd Fed is loaded with 400 material rated at 250asa. Your PyrocatHD should give you equal results at 3mlA + 3ml B & 450ml of DI water @ 16m. Bill

I rate my 5222 at E.I. 250 and process it in HC110 dilution B for 5' at 68F

I just received 5 rolls from Photo Warehouse that does the Ultrafine Extreme

I will give it a try when I can, and try both the Pyrocat HD and the HC110, both look good

Pleased to see you found a source for the film. I just checked their "store" via their Ebay listing & see that 5 rolls are up for just under $35 USD delivered . . not a bad price indeed. I even order a lot, just in case the "urge" strikes again. Bill
