New Game - Trial Run -- The Song in Pictures

Recommended Posts

Have had this idea for some time, finally going to give it a try. The one who starts the thread posts lyrics of a song. Participants try and illustrate phrases of the lyrics with photos. The idea is to make it fast moving with one post per phrase. Prepare, get your photo positioned, then jump in - if yours is the duplicate, delete. Probably be a good idea to have a couple or three options lined up. Words are fine, esp. I.D. of the chosen phrase, but other and back chat as well.

Scotch and Soda

The Kingston Trio

Scotch and soda, mud in your eye,

Baby, do I feel high,

Oh me, oh my, do I feel high.

Dry martini, jigger of gin,

Oh, what a spell you've got me in,

Oh my, do I feel high.

People won't believe me,

They'll think that I'm just braggin'

That I could feel the way I feel,

And still be on the wagon.

All I need is one of your smiles,

Sunshine of your eyes, oh me, oh my,

Do I feel higher than a kite can fly!

Give me lovin', baby, I feel high.

Ready, Set , Go!

Scotch&Soda,

Nice thought Sandy but I think next time quoting a song with a bit more scope might be in order.

Thanks -- you're likely right. Thing is, whatever the song, to go stanza by stanza. Skipping ahead breaks the game as there is no way to go back and fix things.

I'm sure the songs you suggest are popular, but though I'm a music enthusiast with a lot of media, I'd have to Google them -- a generational thing possibly! :)

Not sure how popular they are these days but they are both long songs (at least 15 mins) and they are full of symbolic (some might say looney) lyrics, eg

(as a disclaimer, i ought to say i am extremely fond of both songs, know the words backwards and have detailed visual interpretations :) so mebbe i am biased)
