Sandy Vongries
View NX2 has started to shut down shortly after I open it. I reloaded it from the disc, but it still does the same thing. I had the same problem last year about this time - I am about to do one of the biggest photo projects of the year at this point, so it is a bit of an inconvenience. I have several other options for downloading, managing the files, editing and printing so it is not a disaster, but NX2 is my usual "go to". Any suggestions? Also, Nikon updated the firmware in my DF -- any issues I should be aware of? Note: The problem started before I got the DF back.
hapien
I still run View NX2 on one computer that has 32-bit windows XP system. That system is kind of trapped in time, no future updates, no network. But it supports my current cameras so I keep it as reference as it is older and more familiar computer with CRT and stuff. On other computer is View NX-i and Capture NX-D that both just got updates day before yesterday. Install of View NX-i removes previous View NX2 installation. But both programs are quite similar. I have a service question in to Nikon, but I may just go ahead with NX-I. Strange thing, just a day or two different from the same problem last year! Sandy Vongries
Got a quick response from Nikon, installed NX-i. Very similar, but seems improved considerably. Have to work with it for a while.
